Green Initiative

Keeping in view the need of energy conservation, we are dedicated to create awareness about environment and conservation of energy. One of our educational objective deals about promoting the same. The institute adopts to Green Policy so that an eco-friendly environment is created.

What we do

LUSH GREEN CAMPUS

In and around the campus various shrubs, herbs and trees have been planted with an aim to improve the atmospheric condition. The medicinal garden of the institute has many valuable plants planted in order to serve both educational and ecological diversity..

RAIN WATER HARVESTING

The area in which the college is situated receives low to moderate rainfall and in summer the water table goes down indicating need of maintaining water harvesting system. To solve the issue college has adopted to Rain water harvesting system and has constructed 6 ground pits and 2 over head reservoirs to collect and channelise the water.

PLASTIC FREE CAMPUS AND WASTE MANAGMENT

The institute bans use of Single use plastic as a part of Plastic free drive. Posters that create awareness about the same has been displayed all around the campus. Wastes that are not degrading by nature are collected separately handed over to the municipal vehicle for onward processing. Similarly solid and liquid waste are collected in designated box and disposed off in the municipal vehicles.

USE OF ALTERNATE ENERGY

Through the implementation of energy conservation measures and the utilisation of alternative energy sources, the institute works toward becoming energy independent. Use of light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs, monitors & sensors as well as the installation of solar energy producing facilities are adopted by the institute.
